Duval County Public Schools is investigating a fight at Wolfson High School that involved a parent.

That source said the mother of a student went onto campus Tuesday morning and assaulted two students.

That mother reached out to Action News Jax saying she went on campus to report a group of students who were threatening to jump her daughter.

While she was at the school, she said she ran into two girls and one boy and chaos ensued.

Video shows pushing and shoving in the hall at Wolfson.

In the video, several people appear to be involved, including a security officer who is trying to break up the altercation.

One parent told Action News Jax her daughter has been bullied at this school, and the thought has crossed her mind to take matters into her own hands.

“I don’t blame that parent,” Samantha Andrews said.  “It’s really sad. They don’t have no structure here in this school. It’s not right. I feel sorry for the girl, I really do, but sometimes parents have to take a step in when it comes down to their children.”

DCPS provided this statement Tuesday afternoon:

"Violence on our campuses is simply unacceptable. We are thankful to the swift action of our school security team, administrators and school police who were able to intervene within seconds. We ask that both parents, guardians, and students discuss this incident and reflect on their roles in ensuring our schools are safe and positive learning environments."
