FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Winter storm continues through early Wednesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — We are tracking the winter storm now.

  • First Alert Weather Day through midday.
  • Temperatures may drop a few degrees to allow for some icing on some Duval county roads, especially inland.
  • Snow continues through 6-7 a.m. for most of SE Georgia.
  • Some wintry mix is possible through 8-9 a.m. for JAX metro.
  • Temperatures will rise above freezing by 10 a.m. (+/-).
  • Highs today will only be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
  • The record low high temperature is 41 degrees from 2022.
  • Overnight, we drop down to the 20s and 30s inland and mid to upper 30s along the coast.
  • Some refreezing is possible in SE Georgia where any snow doesn’t melt today.
  • The bitter cold continues over the next several mornings.
