JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Senators passed a bill banning abortions after 15 weeks into pregnancy.
It was a party-line vote, with 23 Republicans for it and 15 Democrats against it. That bill does contain an exception for the safety of the woman in the case of any fatal abnormalities to the fetus.
It does not allow for exceptions in the case of rape or incest.
The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk.
The Florida House passed the bill in February.
