A former Clay County firefighter is speaking out after an X-rated selfie of him was posted on social media.

A woman posted the photo of Anthony Myrick, claiming he was on duty and in uniform when it was sent to her.

Action News Jax tracked down Myrick to get his side of the story.

“The facts I’d like presented is that no pictures were on a sex site. It was all through personal message,” said Myrick.

After the picture surfaced, Myrick resigned from the fire department.

“It was a very poor decision,” Myrick said.

Action News Jax learned that this isn't the first time he was in trouble.

We obtained documents through a public records request from the county, which show Myrick had allegations of inappropriate conduct against him back in 2009, during an H1N1 immunization initiative with the health department.

A woman claimed while working with Myrick, “He dropped cotton balls at his feet and when she bent down to retrieve them, he stated, ‘While you're down there."

Myrick was interviewed and said, “He didn't recall that.”

There are also claims that Myrick mocked special needs children saying, "'I can hide my own Easter eggs' in a mocking voice."

When asked about that comment, Myrick stated, “I’m sure I did, but not in front of any children."
