JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Four people are hurt after officers say someone fired a gun in the air during a party in Jacksonville.

"I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning to everybody calling me, just saying hey you need to go check on the shop there was a shooting over there," Jay Williams said.

His custom car business is connected to the building on Clemente Drive in Mixon Town where police say shots were fired.

According to JSO, a party was going on around 1:45 a.m. when someone fired a gun in the air.

Bullets hit four adults. They took themselves to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.

"That's very concerning because we have kids in this neighborhood," neighbor Shelia McGill said.

Neighbors say a motorcycle club hangs out at the building on Clemente Drive.

"These guys, they haven't brought no trouble to me or anybody troubling on my side at all," Williams said.

Action News Jax Brittney Donovan talked with a handful of neighbors along the street. They said it's hard to believe the bikers who hangout there would've opened fire.

We took a look at JSO's crime mapping data and found no violent crimes have been reported in the block of Clemente Drive in the past five months.

"We're a family. Everybody on this street kin so I was very surprised to know it was on the corner," McGill said.

Action News Jax found surveillance cameras pointed toward the corner where JSO says the shooting happened. Williams hopes the footage helps police figure out what led to it.

"Plenty of unanswered questions that we all want to figure out. What's the deal and where the trouble is coming from so we can nip it in the bud," he said.

JSO is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the sheriff's office at 904-630-0500.
