Troopers believe the person who hit her was driving a white vehicle.

Her friends told Action News Jax they are also searching for the driver.

"We've been driving around looking for any white car with front end damage or any type of damage," Amber Brehm said.

Brehm came to the memorial on Tuesday and shared some of her memories of Cummings.

“She’s the most amazing bubbly energetic always in a good mood fun-type person,” her close friend Amber Brehm said.

Brehm said Cummings had a 3-year-old son.

“She loved her son so much. He was her world,” Brehm said,

Cummings' friends believe the person who killed her may be local.

“This is a back road. Not many people from out of town would travel this road," Brehm said. "We’re looking for someone around here possibly."

Brehm said she has a message for her friend’s killer

“I’m just begging them to come forward and say what happened for her family, her son, her friends -- for closure,” Brehm said.

Her friends started a social media campaign with the hashtag #JusticeforCarlie.

They say they’ll continue to spread her story on social media until her killer is found.
