A couple crew members with Gainesville Fire Rescue invited little firefighter for a visit.
Riley Ruppert-Richendollar has been battling a brain tumor.
A couple of crew members, Jamal Hafiz and Erick Pena, sent an encouraging video to Riley, telling him to keep helping people and become a firefighter one day.
“We are praying for you. And you are welcome at any time to any of the stations. You and your family are welcome to come join us,” firefighters said in the video.
Riley knows just about everything when it comes to fighting fires. He wants to be a firefighter one day and has many friends in the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
Riley has a tumor called a low-grade astrocytoma, the most common type of brain tumor for children. Action News Jax reported in December that a scan revealed no progression of the tumor.
