GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE 4/18/2021: The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Glynn County Police Department have arrested Michael Howard and Bria-Marie Nicole Register for the murder of Javier Cordova.
The Glynn County Police Department is investigating the death of 17-year-old Javier Cordova of Brunswick, Georgia.
Police responded to the area of Cypress Mill Road and Golden Isles Parkway at 2 a.m. Saturday morning in reference to shots fired and found Cordova unresponsive at the scene.
Cordova had a small laceration on his head and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. It was discovered that Cordova had sustained a single gunshot wound on his upper torso.
Cordova passed away due to the injury.
