JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in the arm at a Jacksonville home late Monday in the 6900 block of Arques Road, police said. Officers learned of the shooting after being called just after midnight to UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care, 888 Lane Ave., in reference to a person shot.

That’s where officers found the victim, a man in his early 20s, police said at a news conference Tuesday morning. The man was taken to another hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a woman in her mid 30s was taken into custody, police said.

The relationship between the victim and suspect is godmother and godson, police said. Police said they believe the godmother drove the victim to the Urgent Care facility.
