JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax visited Pho Today on Deer Lake Court on the Southside.  An inspector saw 13 live roaches and many dead roaches, which they noted was “too many to count” in the report. Inspectors also noted the pork was held too warm.

A manager told Action News Jax that the restaurant just had pest control the day before, which is why there were so many dead roaches and that the issue had been fixed. It were allowed to reopen after two follow-up inspections.

At Scarlett’s St. Auggy and Dos Gatos St. Auggy in St. Augustine, an inspector noted an employee failed to wash their hands before working with food. Inspectors said they saw a dead roach and issued a stop-sale on chicken wings. It was allowed to reopen after a follow-up inspection.

Inspectors visited King Craw on Nautica Drive in Jacksonville. A health inspector noted flies in the kitchen, gaskets with slimy mold-like build up and temperature violations found on tomatoes, lettuce, chicken, shrimp and crab meat. A follow-up inspection is required.
