More than a dozen cameras at J and D Maintenance and Services captured this burglar's every move.
“I was really surprised to see that someone came in, right after we had left in broad daylight spent about one and a half hour in there,” said owner Garret Nelson.
It all happened last Thursday about 20 minutes after employees left for the day.
From this camera angle you see the man pacing around, eventually grabbing a lawn mower and taking it outside.
Then this angle shows that once he gets outside, he has trouble getting it past the door, but eventually figures it out.
And then this view, where Nelson says you can see the man dragging his pressure washer across the dirt.
“We had a pressure washer, a lawn mower, backpacks, sprayers, garden hoses, trash bags,” said Nelson.
Around $6,000 of lawn care equipment was stolen. Nelson said that makes it hard for his company to do their job.
“It definitely impacts us. We're having to replace these items and make substitutions on the crew to where they have to go since we didn’t have the equipment.
Nelson said the man’s car was also caught on camera--a white four door sedan--and he thinks that can also help identify who the man is,” said Nelson.
Nelson believes this man burglarized other businesses in the area in the past month.
He’s offering a $1,500 reward for anyone who can help in the arrest and conviction of the burglar.
Nelson said they’re now in the process of finding serial numbers for the items taken to give to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
