JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have new plans to develop downtown Jacksonville and the team has planned meetings to keep Northeast Florida neighbors informed of those plans.
On Thursday, June 3, team president Mark Lamping and owner Shad Khan revealed those plans, including a Four Seasons hotel, a football performance center and eventually, a renovated stadium.

Lamping said that day that the team has learned from the failed Lot J project, saying that “we could have done a better job of getting involved in the narrative,” when trying to get Lot J off the ground.
The team shared the meeting information with elected officials, including Jacksonville City Councilman Matt Carlucci, who shared the information on Twitter and praised the new plan as “transparent and upfront.”

“In an attempt to provide as much information as possible on the recently announced projects by the Jacksonville Jaguars, we are setting community meetings in multiple parts of town. We will do a presentation on the Shipyard proposal, as well as the first phase of the “stadium of the future.” There will be staff members of the Jaguars available to answer questions. We hope you will be able to attend one or more of these meetings. We certainly encourage you to invite your constituents. Below is a listing of the meetings scheduled for the next couple of weeks. The huddles will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.”
