JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a fatal shooting from over the weekend on the city’s Westside.

JSO told Action News Jax on Saturday, Oct. 23, that a 72-year-old man had been found shot multiple times behind a home on West 14th street.
The victim ― who investigators said had been shot in the chest at least two times ― died after being taken to a nearby hospital.
Witnesses reported seeing a Black man in his 30s wearing a dark-colored hoodie running from the area before jumping into an SUV.
JSO announced Tuesday that Keith Cooper, 32, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
