JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man was convicted Thursday of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The state attorney’s office said Samuel Allen Jackson, 57, was convicted in connection with a an incident last March.

An investigation revealed that the victim was at a friend’s house when Jackson showed up at the residence.
A new release said Jackson became angry that the victim was at his former girlfriend’s home. After an argument with the victim, the release said, Jackson pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The victim has since recovered from his injuries.
Jackson now faces up to 15 years in prison. Sentencing for Jackson is scheduled for the week of Nov. 23.
