A Jacksonville man is offering his truck as a reward for the return of his lost dog.

The truck has 243,000 miles according to the owner James O’Sickey.

O'Sicky said he came home for lunch on Wednesday and could not find Buddy Boy. He thinks Buddy Boy may have hopped a fence at his home on New Berlin Road around 1 p.m.

His mom called local animal shelters and went door-to-door, but they have not been able to find Buddy Boy.

O'Sicky said he is offering his 2002 Chevy Silverado in exchange for Buddy Boy's return.

“The truck is replaceable. The dog is not,” said O’Sickey.

O’Sickey said the Pitbull mix is friendly and is usually right by his side. And if you don’t want the truck, he said a more than $5,000 reward is up for grabs. Most of the money, he said, was offered by strangers.

“Not accepting the reward isn’t possible. The reward will be given no matter what,” O’Sickey said.
