JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mayor Lenny Curry is requesting that all current JEA board members submit their resignations.
In a letter dated Monday, Curry wrote that the resignations will "be effective only if and when I accept them."
Curry addressed concerns after the Office of General Counsel reviewed emails to find if reported Sunshine law violations were credible.
"While there was no information produced or discoveries made that demonstrate any deliberate intent to skirt Sunshine laws, I must consider the information presented and concerns expressed and accept full responsibility for JEA's success," Curry wrote.

Curry also wrote in the letter that board members could be reappointed after the review process by submitting a letter of interest and resume.
JEA spokesperson Gerri Boyce released the following statement: "Board members are nominated by the Mayor and approved by City Council. JEA looks forward to working with the two new board members that have been named."

This isn't the only major move by Mayor Curry in the last 90 days.
Back in August, the Port Task Force formed under Mayor Alvin Brown's administration was disbanded.
It was put together to explore options for deepening the St. Johns River.
Curry said at the time, he and the port board should be the ones accountable for the future.
