JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville woman is urging people to be aware of their surroundings after she believes she was being watched at a Jacksonville Walmart.
Jennifer Roberts posted a video on Facebook talking about what she called the scariest moment of her life.
The mother of two says everything seemed normal when she pulled into a parking spot at Walmart. She said then she noticed a woman in a car nearby staring at her.
“I looked at the car and I saw her doing a little side eye and as I looked over I saw a man walk past my car and my instincts were -- throw your kid in the car and start yelling,” Roberts said.

Roberts said she didn't think much more about the woman, but it was the man walking toward her that made her feel uncomfortable. She said she kept her two children strapped inside the car and called police.
“This man had the darkest, coldest look in his eyes, and he looked over at me, like, and kept walking,” Roberts said.
Roberts said she posted a video to social media to spread the warning even further.
“Be aware of your surroundings. Don’t just pull away, pull away and go multiple different locations to make sure nobody is following you, then go home,” Roberts said.
So far, her video has more than 44,000 views and more 1,100 shares. She hopes by talking about what she experienced, others will be more aware of the people around them.
“Definitely all kinds of folks go in and out of here, so you definitely don’t know who is around,” shopper Noah Spofford said.
“Good for her, taking the right precautions to be ready for anything, makes sense,” another shopper, Aiden Mcfern, said.
