Investigators are working to learn how a man died on a farm in Jacksonville Heights.
Police say he had an accident involving heavy machinery on Alvin Road, not too far from Cecil Commerce Parkway.
Neighbors say the man who died would often help the couple do yard work around their home. Police say his body was found near the barn.

“This is actually kind of surprising for all of us,” Michael Bragg said.
Surprising and uncommon, Bragg said. Seeing Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Crime Scene vans at his neighbor’s home scared him as he returned home Monday night.
“We’re really not sure what’s going on over there. We’re in the dark like everybody else,” Bragg said.
JSO says a man was found near some farm equipment outside of a barn around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

“At this point, there’s no foul play suspected in the incident. He’s deceased at the scene, we’re basically working to determine if his death is the result of something that happened with the piece of equipment, or if he had some other medical issue,” said Sgt. Robert John with JSO.
Neighbors at the scene say the couple that lives at the scene told them they believe the man possibly had a heat stroke. It’s now up to the medical examiner to determine how he died.
