The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released the name of the victim killed in a shooting near a 24-hour laundromat off Merrill Road on Tuesday.

Quartz Devonta Walden, 24, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to JSO.

JSO said that, prior to the shooting, Walden had been in a verbal argument with Kyrie Jorris, 32.

Following the argument, Jorris returned with Shawntell Charles Bryant, 39, looking for Walden, according to police.

Witnesses in the area told JSO that Jorris pointed out Walden to Bryant who then approached the victim.

JSO said that witnesses then heard several gunshots and saw Bryant walk away from the area.

Bryant was arrested for murder as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to JSO.

Jorris was later arrested for being a principal in the murder as a result of her involvement, JSO said.
