JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who they say has committed two armed robberies and kidnappings in the past 48 hours.

Brian Eugene Fogerty, 41, recently abducted a woman from her home, forced her into her car and later dropped her off in another jurisdiction, according to JSO Public Information Officer Christian Hancock.

Officers said Fogerty has a swollen face and eyes and his nose is very noticeably bright red and disfigured.

Police said Monday night that they believed Fogerty was driving a vehicle he took, a 2012 red Toyota 4Runner. Police said the 4Runner was found Tuesday morning in the area of W. Beaver Street and N. Edgewood Avenue.

A warrant has been issued for Fogerty for the original incident and Hancock said JSO is working with several law enforcement agencies to apprehend Fogerty.

Action News Jax learned that Fogerty has a criminal history. His record shows two grand theft auto convictions, a deadly hit and run and three armed robberies. Fogerty has also used several aliases.

According to the Department of Corrections, Fogerty is supposed to be under community supervision after being released from prison this past May. He recently finished a more than 8-year prison sentence for several convictions.

Fogerty is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with any information on Fogerty's whereabouts is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward of up to $3,000, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
