One injured after dispute-turned-shooting in Riverside area, JSO investigating

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a dispute-turned-shooting left one injured in the Riverside area near the 2500 block of College St.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., JSO officers responded to a report of a person being shot in the area. Upon arrival, they found a male with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the initial investigation, the victim and suspect were involved in a dispute that resulted in a shooting. The officers managed to apprehend a suspect at the scene, and JSO assured that there was no further threat to the community.
