UPS is looking to hire 1,600 workers in Jacksonville -- immediately.
The company wants to hire and train 1,600 part-time workers to sort packages by Nov. 1.

The new employees will work part-time between the expanded Jacksonville hub and a new relief hub operations building, a UPS spokesperson said.
Action News Jax reported in November 2016 that UPS was expanding its Jacksonville operations.
UPS officials said the company planned to invest $196 million to expand its ground package hub and add more than 260,000 square feet to the building to make room for advanced technology and operations automation.
