The last Jaguar to win a Rookie of the Month title was LB Devin Lloyd back in September 2022.
To celebrate the achievement, the Jaguars put together a list of the best moments from Thomas Jr. during the last 6 games of the 2024 season:
- Thomas Jr. was one of two players (WR Ja’Marr Chase) in the NFL with at least 45 catches, 500-plus receiving yards and five touchdowns in December and January.
- In Week 15 against the New York Jets, Thomas Jr. set the single-season franchise record for both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns by a rookie.
- In Week 16 against Las Vegas, he became the only rookie in franchise history to reach 1,000 receiving yards and the 25th receiver in the Super Bowl Era to accomplish the feat.
- In his final home game of the 2024 season, Thomas Jr. became the fourth rookie receiver in NFL history to reach at least 1,100 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in a season. He joined WR Odell Beckham Jr. (2014), WR Ja’Marr Chase (2021) and WR Randy Moss (1998).
- He maintained his active streak of games with at least 75 yards receiving dating back to November 17. His seven games to close the 2024 season with 75-plus receiving yards was the second longest streak in the 2024 season and the second longest streak by a rookie in NFL history behind Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014 (nine games).
- He finished his rookie campaign in Week 18 by becoming the seventh rookie in the Super Bowl Era to reach 1,200-plus receiving yards in a season.
