New video: Investigators tell Kimberly Kessler they've found Joleen Cummings' blood on her shoes

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — Action News Jax has obtained video of investigators pressing Kimberly Kessler for a confession in the murder of Joleen Cummings.

“I think Joleen’s dead,” said one investigator to Kessler. “And I think you know where Joleen is.”

The investigators explained to Kessler they had collected evidence linking her to Cummings’ disappearance.

Investigators also told Kessler they had obtained, and executed, warrants to search her car and storage unit.

“We also have recovered your shoes that has Joleen’s blood on your shoes,” said the investigator in the newly obtained video. “So I just want you to, if something happened, that you didn’t intend to happen, I want to talk to you about it … ”

They give Kessler the opportunity to confess to playing a role in Cummings’ disappearance.

“I’m going to find out where those little boys’ mama is,” said the investigator. “I promise you I’m going to do that. You can help me do that. And you’re the one that can make that happen, right now.”

“No I cannot,” responded Kessler. “I’m not, again, whatever fury may come, I …. ”

“How did her blood get on your shoes?” the investigator interjected.

“So let me reply this way, and you may not like the answer,” Kesler said. “I would like legal counsel. I haven’t been able to call anybody, I haven’t been able to call my mom. And I see how that works.”

The interview came to a close as Kessler told investigators she did not want to discuss the matter any further without an attorney.
