UPDATE: The victim from the murder on Rutledge Pearson Drive has been identified as 14-year-old Darryl Lamar Johnson.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left a teen dead Monday night.

At approximately 9:37 p.m., officers responded to the 7200 block of Rutledge Pearson Drive in reference to a shooting.

JSO said upon arrival, they found a black male who appeared to be in his teens that had been shot.

The teen was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

This is the fourth teen killed in Jacksonville in a week. Three teens were killed in a drive-by shooting on Town Center Parkway on June 5.
