JSO: Man was shot in the torso in the Duclay Forest area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a person shot in the area of Westland Station Road.

When JSO officers arrived at the home they found a man that had been shot in the stomach.

JSO’s initial investigation revealed that the victim and an adult female suspect know each other. Authorities state that there was a dispute inside the home that escalated and led to gunfire.

JSO has confirmed that there is currently a suspect in police custody.

Violent Crimes Detectives and Crime Scene Unit Detectives are on the scene and it’s an ongoing investigation.
