JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police in Jacksonville said one person is dead and five others are being treated for injuries following a mass shooting in the 3800 block of Emerson Street.
A Chevy Tahoe arrived just after 2 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital with six people with gunshot wounds, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle had multiple shots fired into it, officials said.
A 25-year-old person was pronounced deceased shortly after the SUV arrived at the hospital and another is in critical condition, according to police.
Four others have non life-threatening injuries.
JSO said investigators believe the shooting happened around the area of Spring Park and Emerson Street near a gentlemen's club.
JSO said in an update sent Wednesday afternoon that the six occupants of the Taho were at a late night rap music event at the Paradise Gentleman's Club before the shooting happened.
According to police, the 6 adults left the club and traveled north on I-95 from Baymeadows Road.
The shooting occured when the Tahoe with the 6 adults exited onto Emerson Street near the intersction of Spring Park Road, JSO said in the update.
According to JSO, the shooter(s) fired from a vehicle that pulled up alongside the Tahoe, and that the incident was a targeted act of violence.
JSO is asking the community for assistance with information on this case.
