Jacksonville, Fl — A man and a woman were shot and killed Monday night on Bowden Road.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The female victim was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.

”It’s disturbing,” said Ann Newsome, who told Action News Jax she would’ve been there around that time, if not for a concert in town. ”I should’ve been last night but I was at the concert, so I came as soon as I could today.”

Newsome says she visits the ATM several times a week. ”I’m here all the time during the day because there are flood lights, really bright. It’s ideal,” she pointed out. “You have businesses in the corner. You feel safe.”

Still, she says she’s not giving into fear. “I’m not fearful because I don’t know the circumstances and it could’ve happened anywhere,” she said.

JSO says there are multiple witnesses cooperating with the investigation.

On Tusday, M.A.D. D.A.D.S. Jacksonville identified one of the victims as 21-year-old Jamarion Deandra Darion.

Police have not identified either victim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
