Jacksonville, FL. — At the beginning of the 2021 baseball season the Jumbo Shrimp have been extended the opportunity to become a part of the Miami Marlins Triple-A affiliate.
This is the first time since 1968, that the Jacksonville team would a Triple-A affiliate.
The first affiliate was the New York Mets.
Jacksonville’s current affiliation with the Marlins dates back to 2009.
