A 15-year-old girl and student at Oakleaf High School has been arrested after police found evidence linking the youth to recent threats to Oakleaf High School, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, a post saying, "My cousin has a bad disorder and he's planning on shooting Oakleaf High School" appeared on social media.

On Friday, police received another message of a threat made against Oakleaf High School that led investigators to a home in an Oakleaf neighborhood.

The second threat stated that there wasn't many students at school and planned to walk the halls, waiting for everyone to come back.

The Cyber Crimes and the Juvenile Crimes Unit  teamed up in the case and spoke to the minor and the suspect's mother.

They found evidence they say links the juvenile to the threats. The minor is charged with two felonies for false report use of firearms in a violent manner and written threats to kill or cause bodily harm and a misdemeanor for disrupting and interfering with school functions.

Due to the threats made by the juvenile, 40 percent of students were absent on Thursday. Authorities expect a high absence rate on Friday.

On Thursday, Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels held a conference at which he stated that all school threats will be taken seriously and authorities will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
