Landmark Middle School cleared after bomb threat, officials say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Landmark Middle School in Jacksonville was temporarily placed on a code yellow lockdown Tuesday morning, according to school officials.

The school said it is in response to a reported bomb threat. The school was cleared at about 10 a.m., officials said.

Duval Schools officials said all students and staff are safe. The threat occurred as students arrived to school, officials said. Landmark buses, car riders and walkers were diverted to a safe location as a precautionary measure.

Duval County Schools Police and Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the threat.
