Lightner Museum calls local artists for 2025 Lightner Local Exhbitit

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Lightner Museum announces the fifth year of the Lightner Local exhibition series.

With support from the Benjamin and Jean Troemel Arts Foundation, the Lightner Museum aims to showcase local talent throughout Northeast and Central Florida, giving three artists a solo exhibit.

The Lightner Museum will host three exhibitions, opening on March 7, June 6, and September 5, 2025.

Artists selected will win the following:

  • Solo exhibition at the Lightner Museum in the East Room Gallery.
  • Promotion via the museum’s website, lightnermuseum.org.
  • Press outreach.
  • Social media outreach.
  • Exhibition opening during St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walk.
  • $2,000 honorarium.

Applications for the exhibit are due Saturday, February 1. Applications should include:

  • Three images of recent work -
    • include title, dimensions, medium, and date for each work.
  • Proposed exhibition title.
  • Exhibition proposal
    • 500 words or less.
  • Artist Statement
    • 500 words or less.
  • Artist bio
    • 500 words or less.
  • Contact details.
  • Do not send actual artwork.
