9:34 p.m.: Michelle Cook defeats Darryl Daniels to remain Clay County Sheriff. Cook also defeated Daniels in the 2020 election.


8:50 p.m.: St. Johns County voters approve extending the county’s half-cent sales tax to help the school district build new schools.


8:41 p.m.: Amendment 4, which aimed to limit government interference in abortion in Florida, has failed, the AP projects.


8:37 p.m.: Amendment 3, which would have legalized recreational marijuana in Florida, has failed, the AP projects.


8:01 p.m.: Florida Sen. Rick Scott has won reelection, the Associated Press projects. The AP also projects that Donald Trump will win Florida’s 30 electoral votes.


7:56 p.m.: Republican Aaron Bean wins reelection to the U.S. House in Florida’s 4th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.


7:45 p.m.: Republican Kat Cammack wins reelection to the U.S. House in Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.


7:37 p.m.: Republican Michael Waltz wins reelection to U.S. House in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.


7:18 p.m.: Republican John Rutherford wins reelection to U.S. House in Florida’s 5th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.


7:09 p.m.: Polls have closed in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.


6:29 p.m.: Polls are set to close in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia at 7 p.m. Action News Jax will have LIVE results as they come in.


1:39 p.m.: The City of Jacksonville said on X, formerly known as Twitter, “There was a suspicious package at the Beaver Street Enterprise Center polling site, but JSO cleared it and the polling site reopened shortly after. False alarm.”


12:48 p.m.: Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland tells Action News Jax’s Alexus Cleavenger that a suspicious package is at a voting precinct.

Holland said this is happening at 1225 West Beaver Street. He said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office bomb squad is on the way and they were able to pull equipment out and keep voters away.
