JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax Investigates has learned that a local doctor is banned from seeing female patients.
The state surgeon general just placed a restrictive order on Dr. Guy Selander, a family doctor in Jacksonville.
The documents say Selander allegedly touched a female patient inappropriately. Since we first reported the emergency order, more patients have come forward.
Two women say they were also touched inappropriately by Selander.
According to the order signed Wednesday, Selander is accused of grabbing and slapping a female patient's rear end in July 2019. The Florida Department of Health first told Action News Jax the complaint was filed in July 2018, but the DOH then corrected itself to say the complaint was filed in July 2019.
A local mother says she, too, was slapped in the rear end by Selander.

She says, "After he smacked you on the bottom, he just looked at you and said, 'You okay?'"
The mother is finally speaking up after hearing another woman went through the same thing.
"I thought maybe he just did that to me because my whole family‘s been going to him for the longest time."
Guy Selander is a physician at Memorial Family Medicine.
According to the new emergency restrictive order, the female patient was in the office for an ear exam when he grabbed and slapped her rear end.
The patient allegedly told him not to touch her.
That's when Selander asked "What about this?" and tried to put his arm around her neck as if he was going to hug her.
The local mother tells Action News Jax that Selander also slapped her rear end every time she went to see him at Memorial Family Medicine on University Boulevard.
"It just felt kind of uncomfortable."
While this investigation continues, Selander is unable to treat or even interact with female patients.
"I am very happy that he's not, you know, caring for women anymore."
The spokesperson for Memorial Hospital says he is not currently seeing any patients. But, it's important to note that nothing has been proven yet as this is still an ongoing investigation.
