Clay County Sheriff’s Office says baby found safe, suspect still on the loose

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. —

Update 10:25 p.m. CCSO Sheriff stated in a media briefing that an 8-month-old baby was taken by her biological father, Terry Levy, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Levy does not have custody of the baby and reportedly fled on foot from the Stonehill Way area in Clay. CCSO was notified and dispatched a perimeter and K-9 unit’s.

Terry managed to get a ride to Jacksonville and at 8:34 p.m. tips from community members alerted CCSO that the child was on Shelton Road. JSO Responded and located the child. She had been safely dropped off with family members.

Authorities state that Terry Levy is a career offender and should not be approached. If you see him or know anything about where he may be, contact the Sheriff’s office immediately.

Update 9:05 p.m.: CCSO says that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has safely located the baby. Police are still actively looking for Terry Levy, the suspect and father.

Update: An Amber Alert has been issued for the missing child from Clay County. Clay County Sheriff’s Office says that the suspect, Terry Aries Levy is believed to have caught a ride to Youngerman Circle and Blanding Boulevard. He was last seen wearing a pink, long-sleeve shirt and blue jean pant.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate an 8-month-old baby.

Clay County’s Public Information Officer states that at this time, they do not believe the missing child is in danger.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office states that the suspect is her father, Terry Aries, a male who left on foot and was last seen in the area of Duval County at Youngerman Circle and Blanding Blvd.

The suspect may have gotten a ride/Uber.
