Man dies after shooting in Jacksonville strip club parking lot

A man is dead after a shooting at a strip club in Westside Jacksonville on Wednesday, officials said.

Jacksonville police said the man was shot in the parking lot of Flash Dancers on Blanding Boulevard after an altercation that started inside the club.

An employee told Action News Jax the man was the club's security guard and had recently been working at the club.

The man had been on the scene for an hour and a half before he was taken to the hospital. Police said he died in the emergency room.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance video and are talking to witnesses. Officials said they are working to identify the shooter who is still on the run.

On Wednesday morning, JSO crime scene technicians focused on the parking lot behind the strip club, with several evidence markers on the ground.

Police said Wednesday afternoon that they are searching for two people spotted on surveillance camera who they believe may have information in reference to the shooting.

Both individuals left in a vehicle, and police have released surveillance images of the individuals and the vehicle they were driving.
