Man killed in hit-and-run crash on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine, FHP says

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating on a hit and run crash that killed a person.

Between the night of March 11 and the morning of March 12, an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on US 1 where they hit a male pedestrian that died.

This fatal incident happened near US 1 and north of International Golf Parkway in St. Johns County.

As the vehicle was traveling north when the driver hit the pedestrian.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to FHP, the make and model of the car is unknown but there should be damage on the front end of the car.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call FHP.
