More than a dozen cars have been stolen from at least three local dealerships.
Tonight, police are searching for the people responsible and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said that, so far, only four cars have been recovered.
Nimnicht Chevrolet said eight vehicles were taken. Ronnie Woods said his rare 2016 blue Corvette was stolen while it was being serviced. He said it has not been recovered.
The dealership sent us a statement:
"Nimnicht Chevrolet is very sympathetic to our customers who have been affected by the burglary at our dealership. We are currently working with JSO and the customers insurance companies to help resolve this matter. Anybody that has any information on the burglary of Nimnicht Chevrolet that can help us identify these individuals please call JSO. "
Duval Ford, which is located next to Nimnicht Chevrolet, said another six cars were stolen right off its lot, and one vehicle was stolen from its sister dealership. So, a total of 15 cars and trucks were stolen.
A JSO police report said the theft happened on May 17 at Nimnicht Chevrolet, where "employees were missing various tools from their work stations."
More than $4,400 worth of tools were stolen along with the eight vehicles.
Days after the burglaries, one of the trucks from Duval Ford was recovered at an apartment complex.
The police report says, "While searching through his truck that was recovered, a Chevy key was discovered inside of the Ford truck."

That key belonged to a black Chevrolet truck that had been stolen from Nimnicht Chevrolet.
Duval Ford said a Jeep was also stolen from its sister dealership. We asked the dealership for comment and asked all three dealerships for any surveillance video that may have captured the thefts.
Woods asked people to watch for his 2016 blue Corvette, with Florida tag number HZC9E.
