A Jacksonville mother who lost her son in a crash now wants to find the people who stopped on I-295 and formed a prayer circle.

The crash happened Dec. 31, 2016. Florida troopers said a 2002 Mustang on I-295 tried passing a semi-truck. The two vehicles collided, killing Justin Conn, 28, and Christina Ross, 29.

A third passenger in the Mustang, Vic Williams, survived.

It’s been a little over two months since the crash. Valerie Conn, Justin's mother, wants to find the people who formed a prayer circle at the crash scene. She said several strangers stopped at the crash site and formed a prayer circle.

Conn said Williams, the crash's lone survivor, had to have major surgery to insert a rod through his left femur and through his pelvic area.

Conn said the prayers from the strangers at the scene have given her some peace.

“Your prayers helped rescue Vic from this horrible accident," Conn said. "The prayer circle gave me a form of relief. I feel as if I was there and there was nothing I could do. I would definitely be on my knees praying for him."

A benefit will be held March 26 at 2 p.m. at Whitey's Fish Camp to help with Williams' medical costs.
