The community is invited to pay their respects to fallen deputy Joshua Moyers on Monday evening by lining the streets of his procession route.
The Nassau County Sheriff’s deputy was shot early Friday morning during a traffic stop in Callahan. He later died of his injuries on Sunday afternoon.
A manhunt is currently underway for the suspect, Patrick McDowell. Multiple agencies have assisted in the search for him since the shooting happened.

As of Monday afternoon, there is a $54,000 reward for McDowell’s capture.
The procession for Moyers will start at 6 p.m. at the medical examiner’s office in Jacksonville on 8th Street.
They will head from 8th Street to Myrtle Avenue, turning left on US 1 toward Callahan, right on SR 200 into Fernandina, and then right on Atlantic Avenue to Oxley-Heard.

“Please line the route where you can to show the Moyers family your love and support,” the sheriff’s office said.
For those who would like to make a monetary donation, Moyers’ family has also set up a GoFundMe to provide healing support for his fiancé. The 29-year-old deputy and his fiancé were in the process of planning their wedding.
