CALLAHAN, Fla. — On Christmas day, Katherine Gelaro, who also goes by Melissa Bodden, was reported missing by her family.

Her father told Action News Jax that it is unlike her to miss the holiday. Her phone has gone unanswered since December 19, 2019.

Gelaro is described as a white female who is 5’4,” 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She drives a silver 2013 Hyundai Elantra with Florida license plates reading “JLLW71.”

The 47-year-old woman was staying at her boyfriend’s mother’s home in Callahan, according to nearby neighbors and family members.

Her boyfriend, Jerry Randall Salis III, lives on Sycamore Street in Northwest Jacksonville, according to Duval County court documents.

On Friday, Nassau County Sheriff’s Office said someone spotted Gelaro, four days after her family had last seen her.

On Christmas Eve, Salis was arrested for possession of drugs and a weapon, along with car theft.

Gelaro’s father told Action News Jax that he told his daughter to stay away from Salis. However, police said Salis is not a person of interest at this time.
