Another lottery player wins big in Jacksonville

The Florida Lottery says their winning ticket was purchased at a Circle K on Normandy Blvd.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — They say the only things certain in life are death, taxes and someone in Jacksonville winning the lottery.

Okay, that last one isn’t true but it sure does feel like it lately.

The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that a person won the Fantasy 5 top prize of $103,210.93 after buying a ticket from a Circle K gas station on Normandy Blvd.

A second person in will also take home the game’s top prize after purchasing a ticket at a Publix in Altamonte Springs.

In other, much bigger lottery news, two people -- one in California and one in Wisconsin -- had tickets that matched the five numbers and Powerball on Wednesday night and will split the $632.6 million jackpot, according to the Powerball website.

But there are more than 3 million other winning tickets, with prizes ranging from $4 to $2 million.

The lottery said two Match 5 + Power Play tickets worth $2 million each were sold in Florida and Georgia. And 12 Match 5 tickets worth $1 million each were sold in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.
