JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The truck driver who was killed in an apparent road rage incident on a Jacksonville interstate was from New Jersey, according to police.

Officers said 44-year-old George Guerrero of Perth Amboy was killed on May 7.

Officers are searching for a man with a beard who drives a semi truck with an orange cab. That man is suspected of shooting and killing Guerrero while they were driving on Interstate 10 Saturday afternoon.

Officers said the driver of the orange semi truck with a white trailer on the back began tailgating Guerrero's truck after he changed lanes on I-10.

The driver of the orange semi pulled alongside Guerrero's truck, bumped it and opened fire at Guerrero.

“We don’t normally see it with semi truck drivers,” said JSO Jay Farhat. “Normally, there is some type of professional courtesy that occurs.”

Guerrero veered off I-10 into the woods between Cecil Commerce Parkway and Chaffee Road and was found dead inside his cab.

The driver is sought by police. Officials said the suspect's semi truck should have damage to the front passenger side of his truck.
