ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — An overturned truck caused major delays Friday morning into the early afternoon along I-95 North.
While wooden trusses and building material are left behind, St. Johns County Fire Rescue said there are no injuries. The driver was evaluated on scene and no transport was needed.
The crash involving, a semi-flatbed hauling wooden trusses and building materials., happened a mile north of State Road 207.
The Florida Highway Patrol said there was a load shift and it came off the vehicle. Weight was unsteady and it ultimately caused the vehicle to overturn.
One piece of lumber got stuck under the vehicle and it continued to overturn, blocking all three lanes. Traffic was diverted onto an emergency lane.
FHP and maintenance for the Florida Department of Transportation were on scene clearing the area for drivers.
Leading up to the scene, Action News Jax saw most vehicles were taking 207 and leading to Holmes Boulevard, going north to Highway 16 and getting back to I-95 to stay clear of the accident.
