3 Palms Grille to relocate to new beaches location

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — 3 Palms Grille, a popular restaurant located at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach, will be relocating to a new beaches location.

In a news release, the owners of the restaurant said the decision to move was bittersweet but necessary, as they look forward to the future of their restaurant group, which also includes the award-winning Eleven South in Jacksonville Beach and the soon-to-open City Grille and Raw Bar in San Marco.

The decision to relocate was attributed to a variety of factors, including the success and growth of both the restaurant and The Yards facilities, as well as the increasing demand for a destination venue for public and private bookings at the popular hot spot.

“When we opened in 2016, we quickly attracted our regulars from Eleven South and our neighbors among the residents and members in Sawgrass. We completely renovated the space from the old Oak Bridge Club and brought something fresh and new to the area,” said John Nagy, owner along with his wife, Karen Belloit Thomas.

“However, with the expansion of The Yards and its offerings, the demand for event rental has grown exponentially, and it is now challenging to run the operations as a separate entity from The Yards, as so much overlap happens for the collective venue and bookings.”

Despite the relocation, the owners assured guests that they will continue to offer the 3 Palms Grille concept at the new Beaches location, which has yet to be announced.

In the meantime, the restaurant will remain open to the public until April 30 during regular operating hours, with a private event closing the restaurant on May 1.

The owners are also excited about the opening of City Grille and Raw Bar in San Marco in June, which will offer a new dining experience inspired by restaurants in Chicago, New York, Charleston, Nashville, and Savannah, and travels abroad.

The menu will feature seafood, steak, and other seasonal specialties, as well as an extensive wine list from wine regions around the world. The Raw Bar will also feature fresh oysters from the East and West coasts as well as a selection of ceviche, tartar, and crudo.

“We are really excited about this opening. There have been some delays that come with a restaurant buildout and remodel that has not been renovated in 40 years. Overall, we are happy to maintain the original footprint but bring a completely new dining experience to San Marco,” said Nagy.

The owners, who are longtime Riverside residents, are optimistic about the renovation and revitalization of the area, including new infrastructure projects and residential buildings going up, among other things. The current and planned growth made the couple view this as the perfect time and place to open their restaurant.
