Jacksonville Beach, Fla. — Beach Bowl is coming back!
The iconic Jacksonville Beach bowling alley and crowd favorite for over 50 years before it’s abrupt closure in 2019 is getting a new shot at life.
On Tuesday the Board of Adjustments for Jacksonville Beach greenlighted a $7.5 million dollar restoration project of the bowling alley.
The new entertainment venue will again offer bowling but will add restaurant with alfresco rooftop seating, as well as other entertainment options.
H&H Enterprises, Inc. assured an abundance of parking for the venue with a newly engineered parking lot that includes well appointed raised agricultural bedding.
The previous owner, Miles Batt, told Action News Jax in 2019 the closure was the culmination of a three-year court battle, which ultimately the landlord won. At the time, Batt said the landlord wanted to use the property for something else.
In the end, the City of Jacksonville Beach has gotten the last word.
