The second crime scene in the search for a local teenager and his grandmother is located in the Oak Harbor neighborhood of Mayport.

Police have been posted outside on Thanksgiving Day of the listed address for Kristina French all day Thursday.

Neighbors we spoke with said they never met French because she recently moved in.

JSO officers kept a watchful eye on the home located on Nipigon Avenue South.

Officers were seen changing shifts, but never leaving the home unattended.

It could prove to be a significant piece of the puzzle as the search for French and her 15-year-old grandson, Logan Mott, continues.

“It was unexpected to have it happen right across the street. This is normally a quiet street,” Josh Moon said.

Moon lives across the street, and said he saw a moving truck at the home about a week ago.

“What I saw was a white male in a pickup truck. I’m not really sure who was moving in because they didn't really establish themselves yet,” Moon said.

Logan Mott’s mom, Carrie Campbell-Mott, who lives in Missouri, said the last time she spoke to Mott was on Sunday and she didn’t notice any red flags.

“He seemed (to be) in a good mood. There weren't any big issues at the point in time. There was nothing that I could pinpoint or put my finger on that there was anything going on with him,” Campbell-Mott said.

Mott is a type 1 diabetic and needs insulin to survive.

If you’ve seen either one of them, call police.
