Police search for man accused of trying to stab estranged husband

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Police said they are searching for a man who is accused of trying to stab his estranged husband in a Kissimmee home Friday morning.

Authorities said Cody Champion entered his husband's home through an unlocked sliding glass door and tried to stab him.

The victim was able to push Champion out of the house and then lock the door, police said.

Champion fled and remains at large.

The victim, whose name was not released, was not injured.

Officers said they have obtained an arrest warrant charging Champion with attempted murder, armed occupied burglary and criminal mischief.
