JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jaguars fan was so moved by Sunday’s win against Dallas that he wanted to go to New York for Thursday’s game against the Jets. However, he had to convince his wife first.
We’re talking about “PowerPoint Pedro,” who you may have seen on social media. Action News Jax’s John Bachman spoke with both Pedro and his wife about his viral plan.

Pedro Amador is a die-hard Jaguars fan. On Sunday, when they beat the Dallas Cowboys, he pleaded with his wife Katie to go to Thursday’s game in New York against the Jets. Bachman asked his wife Katie about her initial hesitancy toward the plan.
“Why would you say no?” asked Bachman.
“Well, Pedro had just gone to Nashville for the Titans game, then he spent the weekend after that celebrating the Dallas win,” Katie Amador said. “I was like, ‘It’s Christmas! You cannot fly to New York right before Christmas!”

That’s when Pedro Amado became “PowerPoint Pedro,” launching his now viral presentation offering several concessions.
“Katie, you’re looking at the PowerPoint behind me that convinced you this was a good idea. What were you thinking?” asked Bachman.
“I thought it was a joke at first,” said Katie, “I was at a company Christmas party, and my husband called me and said, ‘I’ve done something. Turn on the news!’”

Pedro offered his parents as child care for their 2-year-old daughter, but what sold Katie was the shopping spree.
“Oh, I have a whole plan. I’m going to go get makeup, a pedicure and get my lashes done. I sat with the girls at work today and talked about all the things I’m going to put on Pedro’s credit card!” Katie said.
Jags fans have really taken up Pedro’s plight, and Katie has a good idea why.
“It’s just for a good laugh. The holidays can be stressful, and I think it’s a feel-good story. And who doesn’t want to watch Pedro live out his Jaguars dreams in New York and hopefully bring home a win?” Katie said.

Katie and Pedro are expecting twins that are due in June. Katie just had the blood work test for gender and may get the results back by the time Pedro returns for Christmas.
Bachman asked if the couple would be naming their kids “Trevor” and “Lawrence” if they have boys.
Katie responded saying, “I don’t know how I can say no at this point.”
