Rideshare drivers are gearing up for big crowds hoping to make some big profits this weekend.
Andrew is a Lyft driver getting ready for the huge crowd heading to Jacksonville Beach this weekend.
Just by sitting inside you can tell it’s no ordinary Lyft.
“I have snacks, candy, and all kinds of goodies. I have cologne, perfume,” Andrew said.
Like many rideshare companies Andrew is looking to profit from the busy weekend as more concerts, festivals and events open post-pandemic.
“I believe we’re going to make a lot of money,” he said.
And while it’s expected to be a weekend of fun for many, Andrew did put some cameras inside his vehicle as a deterrent for trouble.
“They’ll feel comfortable especially if I pick up a group and one bad apple is in that group. The whole bunch doesn’t get charged with any damage or mishaps going on within the Lyft,” Andrew said.
Andrew just wants young visitors to know when they jump in face mask are still required
and when it comes to safety this weekend there shouldn’t be anything to worry about.
“Between JSO, beach police and everything, they have it down. They’ve done plenty of festivals at the beach. I believe if you’re going to go out this weekend you can feel safe and trust our law enforcement,” Andrew said.
